Connecting the Supply Cables
7.7.1
Safety Notes
WARNING
Risk of death if unqualified staff is used (electrical power supply)!
The electrical connection of the suspension arm system and the M6 service head must only be
done by a qualified electrician:
•
Observe the safety notes in the Mounting Instructions, Part 1: Ceiling Mount, section
“Power Supply”.
WARNING
Risk of death if unqualified staff is used (gas supply)!
The gas supply connection of the M6 service head must be performed by the supplier of the
central gas system or a qualified specialized company.
•
The gas supply must be checked for tightness, pressure, flow and contamination.
•
The check of gas types must be documented, see section 7.8.1 “Gas Type Check
(M6 Service Head only)”, page 89.
•
After repair or modification of the gas system, a check must be performed.
WARNING
Risk of death by electrocution!
Touching live parts can cause life-threatening electric shock. Motor-controlled, movable
components of the unit can cause injuries when activated accidentally.
Disconnect the unit from the mains before beginning any assembly/disassembly or
adjustment work:
•
For all types of installation or adjustment work, turn off the site-specific power supply and
secure it against accidental reactivation.
•
Check that the suspension arm system not connected to the power supply.
•
Earth and short-circuit the unit.
•
Provide protection by covers or barriers for any neighboring live parts.
