Class A
– Redundant ring configuration
The DNX R-2F/FC module was designed to support full optic fibre class A redundancy
as required for EN54-13 and BS5839-1. This topology is illustrated in Figure 11.

Class B
– Non-redundant radial configuration
The DNX R-2F/FC module also supports the class B non-redundancy optic fibre
configuration for the event of a fault in the ring. This topology is illustrated in Figure 12.
