Commissioning Mode (ACTIVE Mode only)

Enable or disable the commissioning mode on the device by setting or re-
setting DIP SWITCH 2 of set 6 as per selection in Table 10.

Note: It is best practice to implement these settings in each device prior to
installation. Each module has individual settings which can be confirmed
remotely using the IVIEW application tools.

5.1) DNX R-2F/FC Master ONLY

The Master DNX R-2F/FC must have the commissioning switch in the ON
position during the first TWO healthy recovery cycles. After TWO
healthy recovery cycles have been completed, the switch must be
returned to the OFF position.

With the DNX R-2F/FC in MASTER mode (as per DIP SWITCH 1 of set 6),
the commissioning mode switch is used to force the DNX R-2F/FC module to
manage the commissioning mode by auto-allocating addresses, broadcasting
operational details and presenting a global status map.

In the event of a Master DNX R-2F/FC failure, a slave module will resume the
role as master.
Enable or disable the commissioning mode on the Master module by setting
or re-setting DIP SWITCH 2 of set 6 as per selection in Table 10.

After at least two healthy (No Fault LED ON) closed ring recovery cycles, the
commissioning switch must be turned OFF.
Failure to do this will force the re-allocation of addresses resulting in incorrect
event record information. The network will however continue to operate
correctly with the commissioning switch left in the ON position.
