Model 7702 switching module
klqb
Connection and wiring procedures for the Model 7702 are to be performed by
qualified service personnel. This information is provided in the packing list pro-
vided with the module.
Switching module capabilities
Channels 1 through 40
— The Model 7702 can multiplex one of 40 2-pole signals or one
of 20 4-pole signals into the input of the Model 2790.
Channels 41 and 42
— The Model 7702 can multiplex one of two 2-pole current signals
into the input of the Model 2790.
t^okfkd
The 7702 module is designed to handle DC peak voltages up to 300V
generated by external and potentially unlimited energy type sources.
When the 7702 module is used in conjunction with the 7751/7753 mod-
ule, it can be used safely up to the full output voltage capability of the
7751/7753 V-source (500V DC peak). This DOES NOT imply the 7702
module can be used with EXTERNAL SOURCES (i.e., non-7751/7753
derived) above 300V DC peak.

To prevent damage to the Model 7702 switching module, do not exceed
these maximum signal levels:
Channels 1-40:
300VDC or RMS, 1A switched, 60W, 125VA
Channels 41, 42:
60VDC or 30V RMS, 3A switched, 60W, 125VA
klqb
The 7702 module is safe to use with the 500V source of the 7751/7753 module.
The V-source is energy limited and classified as a non-hazardous source per
EN61010.

—Yes. Of the 42 measurement channels, only one
channel (or channel pair) can be closed at the same time. When you close a
channel (or channel pair), all other measurement channels will open. The user
has no control of channels 43, 44, and 45. The open/close state of these channels
is determined by the selected function.

— Yes. All channels can be controlled individually
allowing multiple channels to be closed.
When the Model 2790 is on the DCV, ACV,

function, channels 1 through 40 are available. When on a current function (DCI or ACI),
channels 41 and 42 are the only available channels.
