WATERCLEAN 1600
Version 03/2008
OPERATION
- 63 -
NOTE
From the drinking-water capacity of approx.
1 000 l/h on, the control procedure takes place very
slowly as internal control parameters change.
NOTE
If due to failure of certain sensors the respective
values are not indicated, then these must be deter-
mined manually (e.g., by reading the pressure
from the manometer, gauge out the flow, etc.).
3.4.3.4
Switching OFF in Manual Operation as Emergency Function
NOTE
Switch off according to Section 3.4.3.2.
3.4.4
Checking the Membrane Condition
RO Membrane
Once the drinking water production has begun, the condition of the
membranes and the cleaning performance are to be checked, respec-
tively. To do this, the conductivity of the raw water and the drinking
water produced must be determined.
1.
Determine the conductivity of the raw water using a manual con-
ductivity measuring instrument.
2.
Read off the conductivity of the drinking water on the display of
the switch cabinet.
3.
Calculate the measuring values
The conductivity of the drinking water may only amount to 5% of
the raw water value.
Example:
Measuring value, raw water = 20 000 µS/cm
Measuring value, drinking water = 400 µS/cm
400/20 000 = 0,02
0.02 x 100% = 2%
In this example the difference lies below 5%; the membranes are
functioning properly.
4.
If the difference is > 5%, reject the drinking water produced and
contact the manufacturer.
