Tire Service Life
The mark of tire pressure
Proper tire pressure and correct driving style may prolong the
service life of the tire. The tire inflation pressure mark is located
at the driver door frame, on which there is a tire inflation pressure
data table.
−
Check the tire pressure at least once a month.
−
Check tire pressure only when the tire is cold. Do not decrease
the increased tire pressure while the tire is hot.
−
When the car is loaded heavily, adjust the tire pressure
accordingly.
−
Avoid driving at high speed and accelerating rapidly on a bend.
−
Check tires for abnormal wear from time to time.
Tire inflation pressure and car load
The tire inflation pressure must match the vehicle load. It is
recommended to maintain the tire inflation pressure at the value
under the maximum load.
However, if you wish to drive in a comfortable way, you may
maintain the tire inflation pressure specified for normal vehicle
load when running under normal load (up to 3 people). If you
want the car to run under maximum load, you must increase the
tire inflation pressure to the specified maximum.
Too high or too low tire inflation pressure will greatly shorten the
tire life, and has an adverse impact on the driving characteristics
of the car. Especially at high vehicle speeds, tire pressure is of
great importance. Therefore, the tire inflation pressure should be
checked at least once a month, and another time before each
long-distance driving.
Driving style
Driving at high speed on a bend, rapid acceleration and sudden
braking (harsh noise from tires) will increase tire wear.
Dynamic balance of wheels
The wheels of new car are balanced, however may become
unbalanced due to various effects during its running, which may
be indicated by the shaking of the steering mechanism.
And at this time the wheels should be rebalanced because wheel
imbalance will cause excessive wear of steering system,
suspension mechanism and tires. In addition, each wheel must be
rebalanced after installation of new tires or tire repair.
Defect of wheel alignment
Errors in chassis adjustment will not only cause excessive tire
wear, but also affect driving safety. Therefore, in case of
abnormal tire wear, go to the KANDI-authorized service station
for inspection of the wheel alignment.
