Check and Refilling

−
Open the front engine hood.
−
The front engine hood is fixed in the open position by two
pneumatic spring support rods.
Warning !
If there is steam or coolant coming out of the front compartment,
do not open the hood. Doing so may cause a risk of scalding! Wait
until there is no more steam or coolant coming out.
Working in the Front Engine Compartment
Special care should be taken when working in the front
compartment!
There will be risks of trauma, scald, accident and fire when
carrying out operations such as inspection and oil filling in the
front compartment.
Therefore, the following warning
instructions and general safety rules must be followed. The
front compartment of a car is a dangerous area to work in!
Warning !
Turn off the electric motor.
Pull out the ignition key.
Apply parking brake tightly.
Allow the motor to cool thoroughly.
Keep children away from the front compartment.
Do not splash fluid to the hot motor. These fluids (e.g.
antifreeze contained in the coolant) may catch fire!
Avoid short circuit of electronic devices, especially the power
battery.
Do not touch the radiator fan while the motor is still hot. The
fan may suddenly turn on by itself!
When the motor is still hot, do not open the coolant reservoir
cap. The cooling system is under pressure!
To protect the face, hands and arms from steam or hot
coolant, cover the cap with a large rag when opening it.
Other hazards may arise from moving parts (e.g., V-ribbed
belt, generators, radiator fans) and high-voltage ignition
system if inspections must be carried out while the motor is in
operation.
If the vehicle is parked and in a gear while the motor is
running, under no circumstances should the accelerator pedal
be depressed unintentionally. Doing so may cause the car to
immediately move on its own, causing a risk of an accident!
Note the following warnings when working with electronic
devices.
No smoking.
Do not work near open fire.
Keep a fire extinguisher at all times.
Always disconnect the car battery from the vehicle power.
Caution!
Note that the fluids must not be misused when adding. Doing so
may lead to serious functional defects and motor damage!
Information About Environmental
Protection
The ground under the vehicle should be given attention regularly
in order to find the leakage in time. If there are stains formed by
oil, please send the car to the repair shop for inspection.
