Check the coolant level
The coolant level can be visually checked.
Front engine compartment: marking in coolant auxiliary tank
−
Turn off the electric motor.
−
Allow the motor to cool thoroughly.
−
Directly observe the coolant level on the auxiliary water tank.
When the motor is cold, the coolant level must be between the
marks "L (minimum)" and "F (maximum)". The coolant level
is slightly above the mark "F (maximum)” when the motor is
hot.
The coolant level may be properly checked only when the motor
is turned off.
There is an indicator in the instrument cluster to monitor the
coolant level.
Nevertheless, it is recommended to check the coolant level
directly from time to time.
Loss of coolant
The loss of coolant is mainly caused by leakage. Please check the
cooling system at KANDI-authorized service station immediately.
You should not just add coolant.
If the cooling system is
well sealed
, the loss of coolant may only
be caused by the overflow from the cooling system due to
overheating and boiling of coolant.
Caution!
The radiator sealant must not be mixed with coolant. Otherwise,
the function of the cooling system will be greatly damaged.
Refill the Coolant
Add coolant according to the correct instructions.
−
Turn off the electric motor.
−
Allow the motor to cool thoroughly.
−
Put a piece of rag on the coolant reservoir cap, and then
carefully unscrew the cap to the left and remove it.
