EQUIPMENT CONFIGURATION
Different pieces of equipment sometimes require a spe-
cific hardware configuration (jumper, switch or soft-
ware setting) to enable communication with the SC-
EQ Communication Card. Refer to the equipment’s
installation literature for details on the proper configu-
ration settings. The following diagrams summarize
what these requirements are and the wiring interfaces
for each of the different types of microboards.

Some Micro Panels use a rotary switch to set their
YORK Talk II address (YORK Talk address = Rotary
Switch s 1). Since the SC-EQ uses a one-to-
one relationship with the chiller panel, this switch is
normally set to 0 (YORK Talk address 1). However,
when two microboards are used in a BACnet MS/TP
configuration, set the master microboard rotary switch
to 0, and the subordinate microboard is set to 1. If the
chiller microboard is not equipped with a rotary switch,
the YORK Talk address is set using the Micro Panel
keypad and display. In most cases, you can configure
the setting, but some models are fixed and cannot be
changed (refer to the equipment documentation for
specific details).
