Prior to any kind of maintenance and/or cleaning operation is performed, completely lower the carriages, unload the lift and make
sure that there is no pressure in the hydraulic hoses and disconnect the power source from the lift.

For the extraordinary maintenance of the JLT4500 type lift, address exclusively to the qualified JohnBean technical support.
5.6.1 PERIODIC CHECKS:
DANGER
Modifications not authorized in writing by the technical staff of JohnBean could affect the safe use of the lift.
WARNING
The lift was designed considering an expected life of 20000 working cycles. Exceeding this working life could result in fatigue
overload of the structure and could affect the safe use of the lift. Fatigue is an inevitable effect of the use of the lift and should be
taken in proper account. A good maintenance is extremely important not to make the effect of the fatigue on the structure worse than
they actually are.
The following maintenance points are suggested as the basis of a routine maintenance program. The actual maintenance program should be
tailored to the installation.
If lift stops short of full rise or chatters, check fluid level and bleed both cylinders per Installation Instructions.
Replace all Safety, Warning or Caution Labels if missing or damaged
5.6.1.1 DAILY CHECKS:
Keep lift components clean.
Check for loose or broken parts.
Check hydraulic system for fluid leaks.
Check adapters for damage or excessive wear. Replace as required with genuine
JohnBean
parts.
Check the activation of the Lock Release. When properly adjusted, the column lock should rest firmly against the back of the column
when engaged and pull clear of the column back when disengaged
5.6.1.2 WEEKLY CHECKS:
Check synchronizing cables and sheaves for wear. Replace as required with genuine
JohnBean
parts.
Check synchronizing cable tension per Installation Instructions. Adjust if necessary.
ATTENTION
Important: if any of the locks does not fully disengage, damage may result to carriage and or cable synchronizing system.
