Part 3 – TRANSMIT and RECEIVE operation
Step Action
1.
The Transmit and Receive Display opens once step 2 is completed.
2.
Press ENTER to activate the acoustic transmission of the command sequence selected.
3.
End of procedure.
Part 4 – SIMPLE Ranging operation (with Remote Control)
Step Action
1.
Choose the ranging remote control sequence ARM+ARM .
2.
Proceed through step 2 (use Other CMD as command type) and step 3.
3.
The acoustic device transmits successively two CAF pulses that are received and
processed by the TT801 Remote Control Transmitter. The ranging information is then
displayed.
4.
No other operation then transmitting CAF pulses is expected from the Acoustic Actuator.
5.
End of procedure.
Part 5 – Release operation
Step Action
1.
Choose the RELEASE or R ELEASE with PINGER code as the CMD code.
2.
Proceed through step 2 (use Release as command type) and step 3 .
3.
Press ENTER to transmit the acoustic RELEASE code through the transducer.
4.
The acoustic Actuator should drive the motor/hook mechanism.
5.
The acknowledgement pulses transmitted by the Acoustic Release are received and
processed by the TT801 Remote Control Transmitter that displays ranging information
as well.
6.
When using RELEASE with PINGER command, the AR800 series swap automatically
to the PINGER ON mode for about 3 minutes. To stop pinging before the 3 minutes, it is
required to send the PINGER OFF command.
