The frame (9103088) is the main part of the system. The frame is designed to withstand
the traction forces and to ensure the protection of the triggering system assembly and the
ROV back-up system.

The mechanical triggering system is directly installed on the acoustic actuator. The
acoustic actuator initiates the releasing process. The triggering system is composed of:
•
Lever : (9102981) Intermediate part, situated between the triggering system and hook,
designed for load releasing purposes and load reduction.
•
Hook : (9103084). designed to hook-up and release the master link tied to the external
load.
•
Safety pin : Once the unit has been armed, a safety pin (9102987) is fitted in position,
thus prohibiting any accidental release. It allows the system to be handled in safe
conditions. The safety pin must be removed prior to launching the load in the
water .

In case of failure of the acoustic triggering system, an emergency mechanical triggering
system called ROV back-up can be actuated by a ROV from either side of the frame.
