Do not use alcohol or petrol-based solvents on the neoprene casing

During the retrieval operation, it may happen that the FSR heavy duty unit be dragged on
the sea-bed, thus collecting sediments (sand, mud...). After each retrieval, systematically
apply the following procedure:
Step Action
1.
First, thoroughly flush the whole unit with sea-water.
2.
When all foreign particles have been removed, flush the assembly with fresh water .
3.
Visually inspect the acoustic actuator for proper condition and in particular the acoustic
head.
4.
Wash the acoustic head with soapy water if fatty matters or deposits are present (mud),
the neoprene boot should always be free of grease prior to immersion. Do not use
alcohol or petroleum based solvents.
5.
Dismantle, clean and immediately grease the various axis (hook, lever, sheave).
6.
Reassemble and rearm the unit.
7.
Fit the safety pin in position (9102987).
8.
End of procedure.
OCEANO HD-55 Acoustic release is now ready for storage.
