Network Interface
There are two different pages in the Network Interface subpart:
1. TCP/IP
2. SNMP
1. TCP/IP
The following parameters can be set:
• TCP/IP Printing Enabled
Click a radio button to specify enabled or disabled. Normally,
select Enable.
• IP Address
Shows the IP address of the printer as entered in the Setup Mode
or by means of an Axis software. If the field is empty, enter the
desired IP address of the printer.
• Default Router
Shows the IP address of the default router as entered in the Setup
Mode or by means of an Axis software. If the field is empty,
enter the desired IP address of the default router.
• Subnet Mask
Shows the address of the subnet mask as entered in the Setup
Mode or by means of an Axis software. If the field is empty,
enter the desired address of the subnet mask.
• PROS Password
Enter the PROS password (Unix only, see
Chapter 7 “Setting
Up – Unix; Printing Methods on TCP/IP Networks”

• PROS TCP Port Number
Enter the PROS TCP port number (Unix only, see
Chapter 7
“Setting Up – Unix; Printing Methods on TCP/IP Networks”
.
• LPD Banner Page Mode
Not used. Select the OFF option.
• DHCP Enabled
Click a radio button to specify enabled or disabled.
• BOOTP Enabled
Click a radio button to specify enabled or disabled (Unix only).
• RARP Enabled
Click a radio button to specify enabled or disabled (Unix only).
• WINS Enabled
Click a radio button to specify enabled or disabled (Windows
only).
Disabling DHCP here makes an
IP address orginally assigned by
DHCP permanent. However,
since this is not the correct way
of using DHCP, we recommend
setting a permanent IP address
manually instead.
