Chapter 8
This section describes the methods you can use to configure and
manage the EasyLAN 100i. The configuration and management
tools that are supported by the EasyLAN 100i allows you to:
• Change the print server parameters, i.e. editing the config file
• Receive extended information about the print jobs
• Receive printer port status
• Monitor your printers
Configuration Methods
The configuration methods that are covered in this section are the
following:
• Using a Web browser
• Using AXIS ThinWizard
• Using AXIS NetPilot
• Using FTP
• Using Telnet
• Using SNMP
• Using HP administration tools, e.g. HP JetAdmin
• Using Novell Utilities
• Using the printer's built-in keyboard in the Setup Mode (limited
configuration only)
Configuration Overview
The method you should use to manage and configure your EasyLAN
100i is depending on the operating system protocols of your net-
work. The table below displays which method to use for each sup-
ported environment.
