To replace a GLZ2 or GLZ4 module:
1.
If a dual-screen option is installed, disconnect the clock sync cable.
2.
Using a quarter-inch nutdriver, remove the screws securing the
module to the workstation. Retain the screw.
3.
Remove the module from the workstation.
4.
Install the new module into the same slots from which the other
module was removed.
5.
Secure the module to the workstation using the screws removed
previously.
6.
For dual-screen options, reconnect the clock sync cable.
Note:
The clock sync cable is keyed so that it can be installed in only one
orientation.
Geometry Accelerator
Follow these steps to remove the Geometry Accelerator board, which is
installed with GLZ3, GLZ4 and GLZ5 options. If your system has GLZ3,
GLZ4 single-screen, or GLZ5 graphics, the Geometry Accelerator board is
installed in PCI slot 1. The Geometry Accelerator board in GLZ4 dual-
screen graphics is installed in PCI slot 5, as shown in the following figure.

To replace a Geometry Accelerator board:
1.
Disconnect the FIFO status cable as shown in the following figure. If
your system has dual-screen graphics, disconnect both FIFO status
cables.
Note:
Take note of the pins to which the FIFO status cable connects on
each board. The cable must be reconnected in the manner after
installing the new Geometry Accelerator board.
