SBXL52: Hardware Maintenance Manual and Troubleshooting Guide

Complete the following steps to open the blade server cover:

Review “Electrical Safety” on page vi and “Installation guidelines” on page 27.

Carefully lay the blade server down on a flat, non-conductive surface, with the cover side up.

Press the blade-cover release on each side of the blade server and lift the cover open, as shown in
the illustration.

Lay the cover flat, or lift it from the blade server.

CAUTION:

Hazardous energy is present when the blade server is connected to the power
source. Always replace the blade cover before installing the blade server.
