A.3.4 Sensors and Thresholds
The ZT 5085 incorporates sensors to measure temperatures and voltages throughout the midplane,
power plane, and fan trays. These sensors are addressed on the CMMs’ chassis sensor bus using
IPMI. A Sensor Data Record (SDR) file is maintained on the ZT 7102s within the chassis. SDR
files maintain the values to indicate minor, major and critical thresholds related to these sensors.
An example to read the current value of the temperature sensor for location.
The command:
cmmget –l chassis –d listtargets
will show a list of available sensors for a particular location. If a sensor is threshold based, issue the
command
cmmget –l chassis –t [sensor name] –d thresholdsall
to get a list of supported thresholds for that sensor.

Table 15 lists the default thresholds for sensors in the ZT 5085 chassis.
