Mounting Originals on the External Drum
To oil mount:
1. Clean the original on both sides.
Use a Selvyt cloth or repro wipes moistened
with an anti-static film cleaner.
Caution: Do not use drum cleaner to clean the
original.
2. Carefully clean the inside and outside of the
drum.
Use a Selvyt cloth or repro wipes with an anti-
static drum cleaner.
3. Place the drum in the cradle.
For normal scanning the drum boss should be to
the right. For lateral reversal place the drum boss
to the left:
4. Cut a piece of clear, proprietary scanning
film to a size at least 25 mm larger all round
than the original.
This is to be the overlay film.
