Safety
Every effort has been made to ensure that the 360 scanner is totally
safe to use. The scanner is designed to comply with the stringent
safety requirements of EN60 950: “Safety of information technology
equipment including electrical business equipment”. All users should,
however, note the following:
Mains Power Supply
• The scanner must be connected to the correct voltage supply (as
indicated on the rating label) and using the power cable supplied
only.
• The scanner must be earthed.
Handling
• The 360 scanner unit weighs 100 kg (220 lb). A minimum of two
persons are needed for unpacking, lifting or moving the unit.
• Do not tilt the scanner more than 10° from the vertical.
• When moving the scanner more than a short distance, a suitable
trolley must be used.
Covers
There are no user serviceable parts within the fixed covers. No
attempt should be made to remove them.
Interlocks
The drum access door is locked during scanning to protect the user
from the moving parts. Do not attempt to override the interlocks for
any reason.
Stopping the Scanner
If an original becomes dislodged during a scan or it is necessary to
stop the scanner quickly for any other reason:
• Press the door lock button on the right-hand side of the
scanner.
