Electrical Connections

If not, contact your supplier immediately
and DO NOT ATTEMPT TO CONNECT THE
SCANNER.

3. Ensure that the scanner Power On/Off

switch is in the off position.

The switch is off with the side marked with a ‘0’
pressed down.

4. If possible, switch off the mains outlet

socket to which the scanner is to be
connected.

5. Connect the supplied mains cable to the

mains power connector on the scanner.

6. Connect the other end of the scanner mains

cable to the mains outlet socket.

Note: The precautions in steps 3 to 6 above

ensure that the scanner is adequately
earthed before you make the SCSI signal
connection.

7. Connect the SCSI signal cable to the SCSI

connector on the scanner.

8. Uncoil the serial connection cable from its

stowage position at the rear of the scanner.

One end of the cable is already connected to the
scanner.

9. Clip the lower grille into position on the

scanner, leading all cables out from below
the grille.
