TROUBLESHOOTING ERROR CODES
Error codes are designed to notify the technician of a
problem and, in some cases, stop the ice machine prior to
a major component failure. This may be difficult to
diagnose, as many external problems occur intermittently.
The following checklists are designed to assist the service
technician in analysis. However, because there are many
possible external problems, do not limit your diagnosis to
only the items listed.
ERROR CODE
POWER indicator (green) flashing:
1. Water Supply Issue: High-level float does not detect
water within 5 minutes of the water inlet valve
being energized.
2. Extended Freeze: Freeze time exceeds 65 minutes.
3. Extended Harvest: Harvest time exceeds minutes, 3
consecutive times.
Possible cause checklist
•
Check that incoming water supply is on.
• Check that water pressure is not below 20 psi.
• Check that high-level float is operating properly.
•
Check that dump valve is not stuck open.
• Check that the air filter or condenser is not dirty.
• Check that the ambient air temp is below 100°F.
•
Check that there are no restrictions to air flow.
• Check that discharge air is not being recirculated.
• Check the refrigerant charge.
•
Check the expansion valve.
• Clean the evaporator.
• Check the hot gas valve is operating properly.
