If the test indicates that there is no adapter in the system, or that diagnostics
cannot be run:
a. Check that the adapter is correctly seated in the slot.
b. Make sure that the LEDs blink alternately amber and green after you
power up your computer.
c. See Table 4-1 on page 4-4 for LED states.
d. Run the adapter diagnostics again. If the tests are completed
successfully, and your computer still is not communicating contact your
network administrator.

If the 100-Mbps diagnostics run without errors, the adapter is ready for use.
Exit the diagnostics program and follow the instructions to reboot the
computer. If an error occurs, record any messages that appear, record the
LED sequences, and contact your network administrator.
