retention

spring

clips

microprocessor

retention

bracket

(on

the

microprocessor

are

open

and

rotated

either

side

shown

the

illustration

above.

Remove

the

fan

sink

from

its

package

and

remove

the

cover

from

the

bottom

the

fan

sink.

Make

sure

that

the

thermal

material

still

the

bottom

the

fan

sink.

Remove

the

release

liner

and

orient

the

fan

sink

above

the

microprocessor.

Make

sure

that

you

install

the

fan

sink

toward

the

rear

the

computer

that

the

front

the

fan

sink

and

the

fan-sink

screws

not

come

contact

with

any

electrical

components

the

microprocessor

board.

Press

the

fan

sink

into

place;

then,

connect

the

fan-sink

cable

the

microprocessor

fan

connector

the

microprocessor

board

(see

Figure

for

the

location

the

connector).
