Connecting Audio devices

Your Veo16i DVR supports up to 16 audio inputs/microphones (10K Ohm, 2.8 Vpp) and 1 audio output
(600 Ohm, 2.8 Vpp). 16 RCA connections are provided for audio inputs and 1 RCA connector for audio
output on the rear panel of the server.

Connecting Additional Storage and USB Mouse

eSATA Storage

Use the eSATA port to connect an extended video storage array to increase video storage capacity of
your Veo16i unit. Make sure to use only i3-approved HDDs. See

Storage Hard Drive Requirements

section for more information.

USB Storage

The rear USB port can be used to connect USB storage devices for backup of the recorded video and
snapshots, ﬁrmware updating, and importing/exporting user conﬁgurations. USB mouse may also be
connected, although the two USB ports on the front panel may be more conveniently located for that
purpose.

Note:

For USB HDDs with high power consumption, use a separate power source.
