Screw the drain screw clockwise out of
the heater.

Collect the escaping fluid in a suitable
container.
Fill the oil back into the tank or dispose
of it in an environmentally-friendly
manner.

Screw the drain plug counterclockwise
into the filter bowl and tighten it firmly.

Emptying the heater is now complete.
