System bus

A mechanism of the computer system to achieve connections between
devices. It is characterized by the signal transmission between two
devices on the bus. One device sends commands and data and the other
device receives commands and data. Only one transmission can be
operated on the bus at any time. Transmission requests of each device
are ranked according to their priorities.

 

 

T

 

target

A system component that can receive SCSI I/O operation commands.

Target LUN

The target for a LUN copy.

Periodic snapshot

To create virtual snapshots periodically to continuously protect data.

Tier1

The high performance storage media in dynamic storage tiering
solution.

Tier2

The low cost storage media in dynamic storage tiering solution.

topology

The logical layout where computer systems and network components
are interconnected with one another. The topological structure gives the
interconnection relationships among the components, but the
topological structure does not specify the exact locations of components
and the interconnection modes.

Transfer the level
of RAID group
dynamically

To transfer the level of RAID groups dynamically without interrupting
the normal services of the RAID group.

Trap

A type of SNMP message that indicates the occurrence of an event. This
type of message is transmitted to the received through UDP. The
transmission process is not completely reliable.

Trunk

It refers to port trunking that aggregates multiple physical ports into a
logical path through setting configuration software. By combining the
bandwidth of multiple ports, the bandwidth between switches and
network nodes are expanded and the ports are provided at wholly
occupied bandwidth with the speed several times higher than an
independent port.

 

 

U

 

Unload slave LUN

The process of unloading the last slave LUN from the connected LUNs.

Used hot-spare
disk

A hot-spare disk that is in use.

User interface

The interface on which users enter commands for operation.

User quota

The maximum storage space which is allocated to a user, and the quota
is adjustable if necessary.
