2.5.8 Setting Network Diagnostics Parameters
Before a network tool can be used to diagnose the terminal using terminal ports, the relevant
port settings must be configured.
Procedure
Step 1 Choose Settings > Network > IP > Network diagnostics .
l Set H.323 call port , RAS source port , RAS destination port , and SIP call port .
l After Check network connection automatically after exiting conference is enabled, the
terminal automatically performs ping operations after exiting a conference to check the
connections on the network where the terminal is located. The diagnostic results can be
viewed from logs.
NOTE
The names of the ports set in this section are the same as those of certain ports set in Table 2-9 of section
2.5.7 Setting Firewall Parameters . Their functions, however, are different. The ports in this section are
used for network diagnostics and the ports in section 2.5.7 Setting Firewall Parameters are used for
calling.

2.6 Configuring a Private E1- or 4E1-Line Network
The private-E1- or 4E1-line network parameters of the terminal must be set so that the terminal
can communicate with other network devices.
If an E1 or 4E1 interface card is installed, the terminal automatically detects the type of the
interface card and displays the configuration screen required. For detailed information about the
parameters, contact your network service provider.
2.6.1 Status Indicators on the E1 and 4E1 Interfaces
The status indicators on the E1 and 4E1 interfaces can quickly provide information about the
current network connection.
There is one indicator on the E1 interface to indicate the network connection, as shown in Table
2-10 .

on. The lines are connected and the clocks on the lines are synchronous.

off. The lines are disconnected and the clocks on the lines are out of
