6.5 Giving the Floor to a Site
The chair site can give the floor to a site and mute all the other sites by performing the
Give
Floor
operation.
If the chair site uses the
Give Floor
function to give the floor to a site, the video and audio of
this site are broadcast and the microphones of all the other sites except for the chair site are
muted. To give the floor to a site, access the
Give Floor
screen, scroll to the site, and then press
.
To exit the
Give Floor
mode, select
Discussion
on the chair site.
6.6 Locking a Presentation
During a conference, the chair site can lock both the presentation of a single site or the entire
conference.
NOTE
Before using this function, ensure that the MCU and service software that is being used along with the
terminal support this function.

Locking the presentation of a single site: After the chair site locks the presentation of a site,
the site can share its presentation but the other sites in the conference cannot share their
presentations. To enable the other sites to share presentations, unlock the presentation of
the site. To lock the presentation of a site, scroll to the site, and then press
.

Locking the presentation of a conference: If site A is sharing its presentation and if the chair
site locks the presentation of the conference, the other sites in the conference cannot share
their presentations until site A stops sharing its presentation. To lock the presentation of a
conference, select
Lock Conference
.

You can unlock the presentation of a site or a conference to cancel the locking of the relevant
presentation sharing right.
6.7 Displaying Sites Requesting the Floor
The chair site can use this function to view the sites that are currently requesting the floor.
During a conference, if a non-chair selects
Request Floor
, the site is added to the list of sites
requesting the floor. The chair site can select a site from the list to give the floor to the site. Then
the site is broadcast and the microphones of all the other sites (except for the chair site) are
muted.
The list of sites requesting the floor is cleared after the chair site gives floor to a site.
6.8 Placing a Call
This function is used to place a call to a site that is not present in the conference. The site joins
the conference after answering the call.
