5.5 Experiencing an H.239 Dual-Stream Conference
During an H.239 dual-stream conference, two independent video stream channels, that is, the
video and the presentation, can be transmitted; furthermore, two channels of video from the local
site can be transmitted or two channels of video from a remote site can be received at the same
time.
5.5.1 Designing the Video and Presentation Capabilities
The dual-stream mode can be used in point-to-point calls or in multipoint conferences.
The dual-stream capabilities of the HUAWEI 9000 are listed as follows:
l
One channel of HD video and one channel of SD video
l
One channel of HD video and one channel of the desktop contents of a computer
l
One channel of SD video and one channel of the desktop contents of a computer
l
Two channels of SD video
The desktop contents of a computer can be PowerPoint files, video clips, and other contents that
can be displayed on the desktop. The resolutions supported in Super eXtended Graphics Array
(SXGA) interface mode are 800 × 600 pixels, 1024 × 769 pixels, 1280 × 720 pixels, and 1280
× 1024 pixels.
Before initiating a dual-stream conference, set the video and H.239 video parameters as
described in section
5.3 Setting Conference Parameters
. The main video parameters are
dynamically associated with the H.239 parameters, and the video protocols are dynamically
associated with the video resolution, frame rate, and conference bandwidth; therefore, you need
to set these parameters based on the available options on the screen. For details about the
conference parameters, see
.
5.5.2 Designating the Dual Streams
Input sources and output destinations for the video and presentation must be chosen.
Choosing Input Sources
If multiple video-source devices are connected to the video input interfaces of the terminal, you
can choose a channel of video as the source of the local video and another channel as the source
of the local presentation.
The priority of the video is higher than that of the presentation, as shown from the following
aspects:
