7.5 Switching Between Audio-only and Video Calls

To switch a call between audio-only and video modes, select

from the option bar.

Prerequisites

The terminal is in a SIP point-to-point conference.

Context

You cannot switch modes in a call between audio-only and video if:

The terminal is in a cascaded conference.

The terminal is in a multipoint conference hosted by its built-in MCU.

Procedure

Step 1

Select

on the option bar, and press

to display the

Video

screen.

Step 2

From the

Video

screen:

During an audio-only call: Select

Turn On Video

, and press

to send a video request.

During a video call:

Select

Turn Off Video

, and press

to turn off both local and remote video and switch

to an audio-only call.

Click

Hold

, and press

to hide local video at the remote site.

NOTE

To display local video at the remote site again, click

Cancel Hold

Follow-up Procedure

To exit the

Video

screen, press

When

Video request handling

is set to

Manual

on the terminal, you can manually accept or

reject a video request from a remote site. If you do not acknowledge the request within 20
seconds, the request dialog box automatically closes.

7.6 Adjusting the Screen Layout

The screen layout can be adjusted using two methods. Press

on the remote control to switch

between layouts. Alternatively, select

Layout

from the option bar to display a screen from which

a desired layout can be selected.

The HD OUT 1 and SD OUT 1 video output interfaces support the combined picture function.
To adjust the screen layout, choose either of the following methods:
