Additional notes on adjustment
Excessive pressure may cause loss of seeds
when grains are blown through the metering unit.
¾
Avoid excessive pressure, especially with
fine seeds.
Excessive fan speeds may be the cause of
blockage of the hoses in the area of the meter-
ing unit.
¾
Reduce the fan speed or adjust the valve
towards "0".
If the hoses in the area of the metering unit are
rather empty, the system is operated with an
inadequate amount of air.
¾
Increase the fan speed or adjust the valve
towards "100".
¾
The MTS System works best with the slowest
possible air flow velocity (fan speed) set for
the seed transport.
The gate valve must always be set in connection
with the required fan speed for fertiliser.
¾
With high speeds adjust the valve rather to-
wards "0" for a high fertiliser quantity.
¾
With low fan speeds adjust the valve rather
towards "100".
NOTE
We recommend adding a mixture of talcum
(80 %) and graphite (20 %) to the seed.
This is beneficial for metering quality, torque
demand, wear and static charge.
¾
Add a quantity of 35-70 ml per 100 l of seed.
¾
Mix the agent thoroughly with the seed.
¾
Never exceed the recommended quantity.
You may slightly increase the quantity in the
event of moist or comparatively small seed if
necessary.
Checks and maintenance
Error messages in the drill controls may be
caused by air losses in the MTS System or in
the vacuum area!
¾
Check all hoses and connections every day
for leaktightness and firm seating.
¾
Clean the distributor weekly.
