Spraying Boom
4.1 Folding boom control
Proper condition of spraying boom and
suspension have a considerable influence
on the distributing accuracy for the spray-
ing mixture.
Complete overlapping is achieved by cor-
rectly adjusting the spraying height of the
boom to the crop.
WARNING
Danger cause by unexpected movements in
automatic mode. Never come close to the
ultrasonic sensor, while the BoomControl
is in automatic mode.
An automatic height and inclination control
adapts the boom to the crop.

4.1.1 BoomControl
Further development of the automatic folding
boom guidance to maintain the exact, lowest
possible working height, even when driving with
high speed and in highly cropped terrain.
This creates the prerequisite for minimum drifting.
Active adaptation of the boom via middle section
height guidance; independent bending of both
boom arms (controlled by 4 sensors, distributed
over the entire boom);
NOTE
When the spray boom is switched off at the
headland, the spray boom is automatically
raised by a previously defined value.
When switched back on, the boom will return to
its adjusted height.
