11.5.7 Test instructions for twin-
line brake system (workshop
work)
1. Leak test
¾
Check all ports, pipe, hose and screw con-
nections for leak tightness.
¾
Seal any leaks.Rectify all leakages
¾
Remedy chafed sections on hoses and
pipes.
¾
Replace porous and defective hoses.
¾
The twin-line service brake system is con-
sidered leak tight if the pressure drop over
a period of 10 minutes does not exceed
0.15 bar.
¾
Seal any leaking locations and replace
leaking valves.
2. Check pressure in compresses air vessel
¾
Connect a pressure gauge to the test port
on the air vessel.
Nominal value 6.0 to 8.1
+ 0.2
bar
3. Check the brake cylinder pressure
¾
Connect a pressure gauge to the brake
cylinder test port.
Nominal value: 0.0 bar with the brake not
operated
4. Visual check of brake cylinder
¾
Check the brake cylinder for damage.
¾
Replace damaged parts.
5. Joints on brake valves, brake cylinders and
brake linkages
¾
Joints on brake valves, brake cylinders
and brake linkages must be light moving.
¾
Lubricate or lightly oil if necessary.
11.6 Tyres / wheels
NOTE
The required tightening torque of the wheel nuts/
bolts is 510 Nm.
Check the wheel nuts for tight fit at regular
intervals!
¾
Check the tyres every day for damage and
air pressure, because the lifetime of tyres
depends on the air pressure.
¾
Have cuts or breaks in the tyres repaired as
quickly as possible, or change the tyres.
¾
Do not expose tyres to oil, grease, fuel, chemi-
cals as well as prolonged exposure to the sun.
¾
Drive carefully! Avoid driving over sharp
stones or edges.
¾
Use only the tyres and rims stipulated by
HORSCH LEEB.
¾
Repair work on tyres must only be carried
out by experts and by using appropriate as-
sembly tools.
¾
Assembly work requires appropriate knowl-
edge and proper tools.
