System Maintenance
Note
You can change the name of a camera when you are offline but you
must be connected to the HTRD400 Recorder to modify all other
camera settings.
Be careful when you rename a camera. Any record rules based on
this camera will no longer be valid if you change the name.
Replacing a Camera
When you replace a camera:
1.
Remove the old one from the camera list:
a.
On the Task Overview tab, click Replace a Camera.
b.
On the Select a Camera to Replace dialog box, select the camera you wish to
replace from the Available Cameras list (the existing camera), then click Next.
Caution
If any record rules are based on this camera, when you remove the
camera, the record rule will no longer record from that camera.
However, if you add a replacement camera with the same name, all
existing rules remain valid.
2.
Add the new camera. On the Select Replacement Camera dialog box, select the MAC
address of the new camera, then click Finish.
Note
You must be connected to a recorder to see the MAC addresses of all
available cameras.
