Solutions
Lost video Check:
• Cable connections, including sensor and RJ45 connector
• Power to the camera
• Camera settings
Lost audio Check:
• That audio is enabled (see Figure 5-9 on page 51 ).
• The audio (microphone) connection from the camera (see Installing the
Camera(s) , page 16 ).
HTRD400 Recorder does not
“wake up”. Check:
• Configuration settings (see Configuring or Modifying Trigger Inputs ,
page 47 )
• Fault LED
• Temperature LED
Test the triggers.
HTRD400 Recorder does not
enter Record mode. Check the configuration settings (see Configuring Recorder Global Settings ,
page 46 or Configuring or Modifying Trigger Inputs , page 47 ).
Test the triggers.
Poor quality images • Refocus or adjust the aim on the camera.
• Change the compression from Extended to Good, Good to Better, or
Better to Best.

Uneven audio or playback rate Ensure that your PC meets the minimum system requirements (see PC
System Requirements , page 28 ).
Player does not display GPS data. Confirm that the Record GPS data when a rule is active field is checked on
the GPS Summary window (see
Configuring GPS , page 55 ).

GPS Data Not
Connected...

Confirm that the Status box on the GPS Summary window shows “Detected”
(see
Configuring GPS , page 55 ).
If it does not, check that the GPS module is correctly installed. Refer to the
HTGPS Module Installation Application Note for installation information.
