System Overview
The HTRD400 system consists of the following components:
•
An HTRD400 Recorder
•
One to four HTCD Digital Cameras
•
A Personal Computer (PC) or laptop
•
BusView™ software (Toolbox and Player)
The Digital Data Recorder (HTRD400) records video, audio, and status data directly from
up to four HTCD Digital Cameras via standard CAT5 data/power cabling. When a GPS
system is connected, the HTRD400 also records vehicle position, geographic direction,
and speed data via a serial interface. The data is recorded to a non-removable hard drive.
A co-located PC or laptop running Toolbox and Player software provides configuration
and viewing capabilities. After initial system configuration, the HTRD400 Recorder can
operate unattended, recording in response to trigger events and preset record rules. The
Player application allows you to retrieve, play back, and archive stored data from the
recorder hard drive.
This networking system is designed primarily for mobile applications, such as school
buses or transit vehicles.
