to name the HTRD400 Recorder and set up the recording mode.

Configuring or Modifying Trigger Inputs

The HTRD400 Recorder has eight trigger inputs. It is important that you configure at least
one connected trigger input to “wake up” when it is activated. Not all triggers require
configuring as a wakeup; however, only those triggers configured as wakeup will bring the
HTRD400 Recorder out of Sleep mode.

Create a unique name for the HTRD400 Recorder to help you identify it later (for
example: BUS214-Recorder). You must enter a name to continue with the
HTRD400 System Setup Wizard. The name can be up to 20 characters in any
combination of:

a-z, A-Z, 0-9

Note

You can assign a name to an HTRD400 Recorder without being
connected to it (see

Record Delay

Set the time in minutes (0 to 255) that the HTRD400 Recorder stays in recording
mode (continues to record) after the last record rule goes away and triggers are
no longer active before returning to Sleep mode. 5 minutes is the default setting.

Standby Delay

Set the time in minutes (0 to 255) before the HTRD400 Recorder goes into Sleep
mode after all the wake-up conditions have gone away. 5 minutes is the default
setting.

Recording Mode

The HTRD400 Recorder supports single pass (recording stops when the hard
drive is full) and loop recording modes. When the hard drive is full, the system
will either:

Stop

. Stop recording. The Record LED on the front panel blinks.

Recycle

. Recommended setting. Recorder continues to record over the oldest

data after the hard drive has filled.

Displays the amount of free disk space currently available.
