Caution
Make sure you are physically disconnected from your corporate
network before setting a static address.
Note
Make a note of your normal network settings before setting an APIPA static
address so that you can later revert to your normal network settings.
1.
Set a static APIPA address. You can use any address in the range 169.254.0.1 to
169.254.255.254.
Note
Do not use 169.254.0.0 or 169.254.255.255 as these are reserved for other
network functions.
2.
Set the subnet mask to 255.255.0.0. Any other subnet mask setting may result in
problems connecting to the HTRD400 Recorder or viewing live video from cameras.
An example of valid settings is illustrated below.
