Requirements

The following items should be available before installation:

•

HT48RX0 OTP programmer

•

Power supply or adapter whose output voltage is between 17.4V and
21.4V (500mA or above). It is recommended that only the supplied
adapter is used.

•

A 386 or higher PC. Note that a single PC host can be simultaneously
connected to both the HT-ICE and the OTP programmer by using both the
parallel and serial PC ports.

•

A standard RS232 cable with 25 pin connector for communication be-
tween the PC and the OTP programmer

•

The PRGW48 software utility, contained within the HT-IDE, to control
the OTP programmer

Installation of the OTP Programmer

•

Connect one side of the 25 pin D-type cable to the OTP programmer and
the other side of the cable to the COM1 or COM2 port of the PC host

•

Plug the power adaptor to the the power connector, J1, of the OTP
programmer or attach power by clipping an alligator clip to the power pin
terminal. The polarity can be ignored.

•

Place the OTP chip in the correct position within the proper TEXTOOL

•

Start the programming procedure with the OTP utility PRGW48

→

Selection of the TEXTOOL and the placement of OTP chip

The positions of the OTP chips in the TEXTOOLs are as follows, Fig 8-1:
