Arithmetic operators
There are five arithmetic operators,
+
addition
–
subtraction
*
multiplication
/
division
%
modulus (the remainder of division, always positive or zero)
The modulus operator %, can only be used with integral data types.
Relational operators
The relational operators compare two values and return either a TRUE or
FALSE result based on the comparison.
>
greater than
>=
greater than or equal to
<
less than
<=
less than or equal to
Equality operators
The equality operators are exactly analogous to the relational operators
= =
equal to
!=
not equal to
Logical operators
The logical operators support the logical operations AND, OR and NOT.
They create a TRUE or FALSE value. Expressions connected by && and ||
are evaluated from left to right. The evaluation stops as soon as the result
is known. The numeric value of a relational or logical expression is 1 if the
relation is true, and 0 otherwise. The unary negation operator ! converts a
non-zero operand into 0 and a zero operand into 1.
&&
logical AND
||
logical OR
!
logical NOT
