Operation
• Do not blast over pavement markers/reflec
-
tors. Markers can damage the blast head and
spray bar and should be removed prior to
blasting.
• Do not blast over damaged or uneven pave
-
ment that can damage the blast head and
spray bar.
• Do not allow the debris bag to become over
-
filled. Monitor the bag and dump the bag and
cage before it is full.
• Do not allow the charge pump to run out
of water. Water is a lubricant that cools the
charge and high pressure pumps. They will be
damaged if they run dry. Always monitor the
water level in the clean water tank and refill
when it gets low.
•
Do not start the auxiliary engine when the
charge pump is not activated. The charge
pump supplies clean water

SURFACE OR BLASTING HEAD.
1. Complete the startup procedures and set the
blasting head pressure.
2. Make sure the truck is aligned with the materi-
al to be removed and stopped a short distance
before the start point for blasting operations.
3. Rotate the HEAD ROTATION speed dial to set
the spray bar rotation speed to the desired
RPM.
4. Make sure the DUMP VALVE 40K switch is OFF
to open the dump valve so no pressure is sup-
plied to the blast head.
5. Lower the blast head to the pavement and
turn the FLOAT SWITCH to the ON position to
engage Hog Arm Float Mode. Do not begin
blasting operations without Float Mode
engaged.
6. Make sure Forward is selected on FWD/REV
switch. Then rotate the TRUCK SPEED dial to
set the desired forward speed. Always choose
a speed estimated to be slightly faster than
the anticipated speed required to perform
removal.
NOTICE:
YOUR INITIAL FORWARD SPEED SETTING SHOULD ALWAYS BE
SET TO A SPEED SLIGHTLY FASTER THAN THE ANTICIPATED
BLASTING SPEED TO REDUCE THE POSSIBILITY FOR
PAvEMENT DAMAGE AS BLASTING BEGINS.
7. The truck will begin moving forward toward
the start point.
8. When the truck is approximately 12 inches
ahead of the start point, turn the DUMP VALVE
40K switch ON to close the dump valve, sup-
plying high pressure water to the blast heads.
Remember, never close the dump valve
while truck is sitting still with the blast
head on the ground.
9.
Use the speed dials to adjust head rotation
speed and truck forward speed to obtain
maximum productivity and the desired profile.
10. To stop blasting, turn the DUMP VALVE 40K
switch OFF to open the dump valve and stop
high pressure water flow to the blast head.
Remember, never supply high pressure
water to the blast head when the truck
is stopped.
