6 feet. For longer distances, the wheel must be
raised and the vehicle backed up using the truck
transmission and drive system. Remember to put
the truck in neutral with the PTO engaged and
the throttle set at 2000 RPM before lowering and
activating the drive wheel.
CAUTION
TO AvOID DAMAGE TO HYDROSTATIC WHEEL DRIvE
SYSTEM OR THE TIRE, ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE TRUCK
SPEED DIAL IS SET TO 0 BEFORE RAISING OR LOWERING
THE DRIvE WHEEL.
Hydrostatic Drive On Steep Grades
The hydrostatic drive is designed to move the
vehicle uphill on a maximum grade of 10% or
less, depending on pavement conditions and
other factors. If an uphill grade of more than
10% is encountered or traction on a steep grade
is marginal, it is recommend that the operator
disengage the hydrostatic drive and use the truck
drivetrain to move the vehicle to the top of the
grade. Then reengage the hydrostatic drive and
conduct blasting operations with the truck heading
down the grade.
