Step 4

Remove the packet routing unit from the device by pulling it towards you.

Also, do this supporting the packet routing unit from its under surface using your
hand.

Figure 5.6-3 Packet routing unit removed from the device

Caution: The packet routing unit weighs approx. 5kg when it has the network interface

board installed into it . Be careful not to drop it when handling it, otherwise you

may be injured.

Caution: Do not hold the area marked with

in the figure above when mounting

or removing a packet routing unit from GR4000 models. Doing this might deform

the outer frame of a packet routing unit, and NIF might be damaged if you try to

insert it into a packet routing unit with its deformed outer frame.
