Caution: While the access indicator of BCU (ACC lamp) is lit, the memory card is being

accessed. DO NOT pull out a memory card or turn off the power switch while the

memory card is being accessed. If so, you could permanently damage the

memory card.

4.7

Attachment/Detachment of GBIC

NOTE: You can attach or remove the GBIC to and from the network interface module

(NIF) even though it is installed into the device which is powered on.

4.7.1

Attachment/Detachment of Type A Module

(1) Attachment of GBIC

Step 1

Pull the lever off and insert the GBIC until it reaches the back of the port.

Lock the GBIC by pushing down the lever towards the direction indicated in Figure 4.7-2

below.
