2:
The coarse and fine flows are always activated separately (never
simultaneously). In the coarse flow phase, only coarse flow is
active. In the fine flow phase, only fine flow is active.
3:
Coarse flow is always activated during opening. It is active from
the start of the filling process to the end. Fine flow is activated in
addition.
Downfilling: Generally speaking there are two types of filling:
1. Upfilling, in which a container is weighed during filling and then removed.
2. Downfilling, in which the removal of the weight of a storage container is weighed while
a (smaller) container is being filled.
The default setting is upfilling. During downfilling a rising curve is still shown in the
graph, however, so as to simplify display and input: You must always enter positive val
ues, even if the weight change is actually negative compared to the initial weight.
Start
Specify here whether taring is to be performed before filling, and whether certain start
conditions are to be checked.
Tare off: No taring is performed after starting. There is no wait for a set delay time for
taring.
Tare on: If the measured value is less than the fine flow cutoff point, the delay time for
taring is waited, then taring takes place, followed by coarse and/or fine flow.
Tare delay: You can use this time to blank out interference such as from putting up sacks
or putting on containers. Then taring occurs after the delay time elapses.
Max. start weight: The current measured value at the start must be below this weight.
Otherwise, an error message will be displayed. The program will only be aborted if the
Abort if start weight exceeded option is also activated. 0 deactivates the option.
Min. start weight: If filling a container, for example, you can enter the empty weight here
to make sure that there is actually a container on the scale. With Max. start weight you
then make sure that the container is empty. 0 deactivates the option.
Abort if start weight exceeded: Checks the two start conditions, and does not start the
filling process if they are not met.
Coarse flow
Pre-act: For the coarse flow cutoff point, you must subtract the pre-act value from the
fine flow cutoff point. Rule (see also Fig. 7.18 on page 67):
Coarse flow cutoff point = target weight – fine flow pre-act – coarse flow pre-act
or
Coarse flow cutoff point = fine flow cutoff point – coarse flow pre-act
