• CITROëN/PEUGEOT TU/XU petrol engines
have timing holes in the crankshaft pulley and
in the flywheel and fixed datum holes in the en
gine block to allow the crankshaft to be locked
in timed position, by using correctly sized lock
ing pins.

Camshaft and Twin Camshaft Locking Pins
Locking Pins 3788-9, 3788-25, 3788-27 and
3788-28 (x2)
• CITROëN/PEUGEOT single cam and twin cam
engines (TU & XU) use locking pins, in com
bination, to retain the engine timing position
during belt renewal. These pins enter through
access holes in each of the camshaft sprock
ets into fixed datum holes behind.
