CAUTION
When taking out the filter, be careful to not drop particles into the filter tank.
Otherwise, lines may get clogged.
CAUTION
Please note that the filter can contain amalgam particles which include mercury
and must be lawfully disposed of in enclosed and structurally sound containers.
All containers holding dental amalgam waste shall include, at a minimum, the
label “dental amalgam waste for recycling” and the date the waste was initially
placed in the container until they are collected for shipment to a reclamation
facility or recycler. Avoid a direct contact when handling amalgam in the filter by
wearing utility gloves, masks and protective eyewear.
When flushing suction filter lines, avoid line cleaners that contain bleach or
chlorine, which may dissolve mercury from the amalgam particles and increase
the release of mercury into the dental wastewater.
