About ChannelPort modules
Harmonic offers two ChannelPort modules with options to support various video formats and a variety of
add-on functionality.
Each module can be installed in the MediaPort 7000. Additional licensed, add-on functionality for each
module is available as described in the section on license options.
In most instances, the MediaPort 7000 ships from the factory with the ChannelPort modules already
installed, and any add-on functionality already enabled. If you receive a MediaPort with filler panels
covering the module slots, follow the steps in “Installing MediaPort 7000 or ChannelPort modules in the
MediaPort chassis” to remove the filler panel(s) and install a module.
ChannelPort modules can be used in Standard Channel mode or Enhanced Channel mode. Depending
on the mode you are using, the rear module components will have different functions.
NOTE:
There are no user-serviceable parts in a ChannelPort module.
