Points to note before installing an OS
When using the optional devices listed below, note the fol-
lowing instruction before installing an OS.
- USB optional devices other than FDD
Install USB optional devices other than a floppy disk drive
after installing an OS.
- Internal Data Cartridge Drive Unit
Insert a data cartridge after installing an OS.
If a data cartridge is inserted, remove it.
- Optional external devices
- When hard disk units are installed in PRIMERGY SX35
with arrays configured, delete the array configuration.
After installing an OS, configure the arrays again.
- When connecting an external storage system such as
ETERNUS, do not turn on the power until the OS instal-
lation completes.
